Good friend Casey Windsor was able to kill this buck a few years back. He had froze the cape and horns and decided to get the buck mounted. The mount turned out great. Congratulations to Casey on an awesome buck! Thanks for using BCT!!!
Also to keep in mind if you are not sure if you want your animal mounted.......cape it, put the cape in several black garbage bags (to prevent freezer burn) and put it in the freezer. By doing this you buy time to make the decision. If you have one in the freezer and are debating getting it done, or have a good cape that you are not going to use....give us a call!
Check out these awesome bucks that we just finished up for Matt and Blake Fish. These are both awesome bucks and the mounts turned out great. The coues deer is a wall pedestal. These are becoming more popular and look great. There are many custom things that we can do to the back of not only these wall pedestals but also full pedestal mounts. We have a few pedestal mounts that we will be doing in the future and we will be doing different things to each of them. Stay tuned to see them. If you have personal ideas for your own mounts we can make that happen as well! On this particular mount we used a camouflage material as the backer. We thank Matt and Blake for using BCT. A few years ago we were out looking for sheds in one of our favorite units and ran onto this badger. We ended up doing a rug and it turned out great. The only thing I remember is that it stunk like no other. Either they all stink real bad or this one got in a fight with a skunk. It makes caping not real enjoyable. Enjoy the pics.
Well as promised, I am getting around to posting some photos that I have of replica antlers. Sage Antlers has done all of these. We have purchased some of these and set some for Steve on some of his popoff mounts (These are the non colored ones and Badlands did not do the mounts we just set the horns). The others we just gock at. He has an incredible mule deer collection and like I have said, he does an absolutely incredible job with his replicas. The detail is unbelievable. I received a phone call in December and it was my brother-in-law Kameron Reidhead. During our conversation he asked me if I wanted to put in for a limited draw moose hunt in Alaska. I was like heck ya but i better call my wife and see what she says. She was all for it. The four of us put in for the draw and my wife Kari and her brother Kameron drew tags. Kameron and his wife Tracy went two years ago and they were able to harvest a nice 53" moose. These animals are truly unbelievable. We are super excited for our hunt in the middle of September and hope to bring home more trophies for the wall!
Good friend Mike Byrne killed this desert muley. He had already boiled and bleached out the skull and was wanting to get it hung in his house. I built the plate that the skull sits on and this is how it turned out. Congrats to Mike on a great buck and a sweet european mount.
Good friend Dave Windsor brought these antlers into work one day and we put a tape to them. We came up with a score of 106". The buck was killed by his uncle back in the 60's and the horns were pretty white. He said that someone had spray painted them gold and that he had to sand blast it off. Well I told him we had a cape and he agreed to get them done. With a little coloring job, some touch up and a new cape we got the job done. The buck turned out awesome and will make a great addition to Dave's trophy room.
