Elvis the Giant!

So here goes.......I have been meaning to post this for awhile as Elvis has traveled with us up to the sunrise bow shoot and also was on our wall for the grand opening.  A guy found the right side shed of Elvis up on the Navajo.  After a ton of searching the other side was never found.  They decided to have an artist render the other side.  The artist carved the other side out of wood.  Good friend Steve Stayner of Sage Antlers was asked to make the replicas of Elvis.  Cooper Reidhead bought a set of replicas and we mounted them for him.  The bucks typical 4 point frame is right around 40 inches wide and scores right around 230!  With the extras he is between 250 and 260 inches.  This buck is absolutely incredible!  

Governors Tag Coues

We just finished up a pedestal mount for Marc Lopeman of Mossback Arizona Guides and Outfitters.  This is one of the governor's tag coues from this past year.  The replicas were done by Steve Stayner of Sage Antlers.  As you can see he does a phenomenal job.  This is an awesome mount with some extra detail work as you can see.  We inlaid a picture of Marc with the buck into the back of the pedestal.  We used a resin to overlay the picture to give it a glossy tile look.  It turned out awesome and is a definite jaw dropper when you walk in the room!!!!

Coloring Antlers

Below are a few sets of horns that I just completed a make over on.  Both sets had previous color jobs that needed some help.  Coloring antlers is a difficult task and takes a ton of time to get it right.  Keep this in mind if you have a set that needs some help.  The coues deer set we purchased and it had cracks and they were almost orange.  The mule deer set is a set of replicas that the color job had been damaged pretty bad.  Keep this in mind if you have a dead head or a set of sheds that are white and has minor cracks.  We can do a make over on them and get them back into shape.

Replicas

Well as promised, I am getting around to posting some photos that I have of replica antlers. Sage Antlers has done all of these.  We have purchased some of these and set some for Steve on some of his popoff mounts (These are the non colored ones and Badlands did not do the mounts we just set the horns).  The others we just gock at.  He has an incredible mule deer collection and like I have said, he does an absolutely incredible job with his replicas.  The detail is unbelievable.  Enjoy the pics and if you would like any done let me know and I can set you up with him.

440" Bull

Here is a 440" bull that was killed by the auction tag hunter a few years back.  These are replicas that we purchased from good friend Steve Stayner.  In one of my next posts I am going to put together some pictures of some of the replicas that he does.  He does an incredible job.  We did a pedestal of the bull and it looks incredible.  Enjoy the pics.

Giant Buffalo!

Well it has been awhile since the last post and I apologize.  I have tons of pics and hunting stuff (including 3 or 4 sweet Coues Deer and Taxidermy School) that I need to post.  Stay tuned and the posts will be showing up.  This was the first buffalo that we had the opportunity to do.  It is an absolute giant and turned out great.  It was done for good friend Steve Stayner and he has since sold it to Gila Outdoors in Thatcher, Arizona.  If you are ever down that way, you need to stop and check out the store.  They have recently renovated it and put a ton of mounts in there as well as improved the store immensely.  They have put in the dart system for archery and added a ton of inventory.  

The horns are replicas done by Steve Stayner of Sage Antlers.  He does phenomenal work.  I have never seen better replicas.  He does work for some of the best in the hunting business.  I will do a post with some of his work and some of the stuff we have bought from him.  If you ever need or want a reproduction of your giant let me know and I can put you in contact with him.  Enjoy the pics!!!
